This Privacy Policy outlines how Memora collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Memora app. Please review each section for details.
Your privacy is important to us. By using Memora, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. Please read this policy carefully before using the app.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information: We do not collect any personal information, including your name, email, phone number, or account information.
Non-Personal Information:
• Purchases through RevenueCat for subscription verification (device ID, purchase receipts)
• AI requests sent to OpenAI for chat responses (your messages are used to generate replies)
• All app data (chat history, app usage, settings) is stored locally on your device and not transmitted to us or any server.
2. Device Permissions & Data Access
Required Permissions: The app requests access to these device features only as needed.
Location Services: • Access precise location for weather updates and location-based features. When you ask for weather, your coordinates may be sent to a weather provider (Open‑Meteo) to fetch forecasts. You can disable location access in device settings.
Contacts: • Access contacts for messaging and calling features. Contact data is used only when you initiate specific actions. No contact information is stored or transmitted externally.
Camera & Photos: • Access camera for photos/scans and photo library for attachments. Media files are processed locally and not uploaded unless you share them.
Calendar: • Access calendar for reminders and events. Data only used for features you request. Calendar info is not transmitted externally.
Files & Storage: • Access device storage for saving documents and app data. All files remain on your device unless you share them. You can delete all app data using Format Memory Core.
Messaging & Email: • Used for communication features. Messages/emails only sent when you initiate them, not stored or monitored by the app.
Microphone: • Only accessed to capture voice when you hold the mic button. Recordings sent to OpenAI for transcription when you record; not kept on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
Subscriptions: To verify active subscriptions via RevenueCat.
AI Responses: To generate chat replies using OpenAI API.
Local Features: App functionality using device permissions (weather, contacts, calendar, etc.).
No tracking or analytics: We do not monitor usage or collect behavioral data.
4. Data Storage & Deletion
Local Storage: All app data, including chat history, AI memory, and settings, is stored locally on your device.
Data Deletion: You can permanently erase all data at any time using Settings → ‘Format Memory Core.’ This action is irreversible.
Third-Party Data: RevenueCat and OpenAI may store data under their privacy policies.
5. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat: Handles subscription payments and validation. Only purchase-related data is shared.
OpenAI: Processes your chat messages, images you share, and voice recordings for transcription and responses. Data is sent via HTTPS and OpenAI processes API requests according to their data policies. API data is not used for training.
Open‑Meteo: Provides weather data by retrieving the forecast when you request weather (sends your coordinates if needed).
Data Sharing: Your information is not shared with other third parties beyond these necessary providers.
6. Security
Local Data Protection: Your data is stored only on your device. No external servers store your messages or app data.
User Control: You can reset or delete all app data at any time.
Encryption & Transport: Data sent to third-party services is securely transmitted (HTTPS). Your chat history and settings are kept locally. OS Security: Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security measures, such as passcode/biometric options.
7. Your Rights
Data Control: You can access, modify, or delete your data at any time. Permission Management: App permissions can be revoked in your device settings.
Subscription Management: Manage or cancel subscriptions through your device’s app store.
8. Legal & Compliance
App Store Compliance: This app complies with Apple App Store and Google Play privacy requirements.
Payment Security: All payment information is handled by Apple/Google and RevenueCat. Memora does not access payment info.
Privacy Rights: Where applicable, users may have rights under privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA. You can contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Changes to This Policy
Policy Updates: We may update this privacy policy occasionally. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy in the app.
Effective Date: Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
